Thank you for your interest in advocating for the St Croix Animal Welfare Center!

We encourage all animal lovers to be passionate advocates for animal welfare on the island of St Croix. Our advocacy is centered around our values of respect, empathy and solutions-orientation. We encourage all community members to be cognizant of Virgin Islands culture when advocating. Our philosophy is one of advocacy and education WITHOUT judgement or shaming. We believe that positive language and attitudes will prevail in the long run for advancing animal welfare in the US Virgin Islands. We encourage civility and respect both within our walls, within the outside community and on social media.  Some of our recent advocacy includes: 

Serving as integral members of the Animal Welfare Taskforce of the Virgin Islands: This Taskforce was set to rewrite and revise the animal welfare laws of the Virgin Islands. We are hoping that the legislation we dedicated many hours of time to will be presented to the legislation in 2024.
