low-Cost Community Clinic

OUR MISSION
Our mission is to change the way animals on St. Croix are treated by providing low-cost, high-quality veterinary care for people who have previously had limited access to care for their animals. Through direct outreach via our clinic, we aim to promote up-to-date animal care practices within our community.
OUR VISION
We believe the human-animal bond is fundemental and we aim to steward that bond by helping people take care of their animals. The low-cost community clinic expands care beyond spay and neuter-centric programs of the past by including high-quality medical care and treatments at low-cost, thereby encouraging individuals to keep pets in their homes and to promote humane and responsible pet ownership in our community. The result is healthier, happier animals that live longer lives, remain in their homes and a community that seeks appropriate care for their pets.

LOW COST/FREE SPAY-NEUTER
For the last 2 years, we have received $50,000 per year from the USVI Department of Agriculture to provide free spay/neuter services to the island of St Croix. To access these services, come to the clinic at 5 Corners and ask for a voucher which is redeemable at our clinic.
You may still have to pay for any additional services such as vaccines or microchipping if requested, as the grant only covers surgery.
Vouchers are also available at Ruff Start’s monthly vaccine pop-up events. If you obtain a voucher from the popup, you DO NOT have to have a physical exam prior to surgery.
